Tarifa is a small town in the very south of Spain, with Africa just a 40min ferry ride away. It has a small old town, no major sights, and not much happens here. In fact, it has one of the highest suicide rates in Spain.
So why did we come here? The wind. Tarifa is a year long destination for kite surfers. The action starts around noon, when first enthusiasts start to unwrap their kites. By 2 pm, the beach is full of kites and windsurfs, a great sight (especially from a cosy chair with a drink in hand, far from the cold sea – side note from Mummy).
Both Daddy and Baby took their training seriously. Daddy was learning to master the wind, and Baby was perfecting his back-to-belly turnaround. He was practicing furiously, especially when being changed, just before going to sleep, or in early morning hours. After initial excitement, we realized the consequences. We will not be in charge much longer, Baby is starting to move.
